Jazz Fall To Sixers, And Could Kessler, Bolmaro Play In Vegas?

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz dropped to 0-2 in the Salt Lake City Summer League with an 86-82 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
After Tuesday’s blowout loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Jazz rested veterans Jared Butler and Xavier Sneed who both played extended minutes in the summer league opener.
Two-way guard Johnny Juzang also missed his second consecutive game in the NBA’s concussion protocol after he was involved in a car accident in Salt Lake City over the weekend.

The Jazz were led by guard Justin Robinson who scored 17 points in the loss. Robinson is a three-year NBA veteran who has appeared in 43 career games for the Washington Wizards, Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings, and Detroit Pistons.
While Robinson led the Jazz in scoring, it was Bruno Caboclo who was the most impressive player on the roster. Caboclo scored 16 points, grabbed six rebounds, handed out two assists, blocked two shots, and grabbed two steals in 25 minutes.
Caboclo is a former first-round pick by the Toronto Raptors in 2014 and joined the Jazz on Tuesday after playing with the Brazilian National Team.

The Jazz will wrap up the Salt Lake Summer League on Thursday night against the Memphis Grizzlies before heading to Las Vegas.
Will Kessler Or Bolmaro Play In Vegas?
After completing the Rudy Gobert trade early Wednesday, the Jazz added two young players in Walker Kessler and Leandro Bolmaro that could be eligible to play on the summer league roster in Las Vegas.
Kessler was the 22nd overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in last month’s NBA Draft, while Bolmaro was the 23rd pick in 2020.
Okay @utahjazz fans, here's what you're getting in your new defensive specialist Walker Kessler. #TakeNote | @AuburnMBB https://t.co/RHvwkwbBk9

Both players were set to play for the Timberwolves in the summer league but were sent to Utah in Wednesday’s blockbuster trade.
As a sophomore at Auburn, Kessler averaged 11.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and a staggering 4.6 blocks while shooting 60 percent from the floor in just 25 minutes.
However, due to the timing of the trade, his availability for the summer league remains in question.
I wrote this about Leandro Bolmaro before the 2020 NBA Draft, most of it still applies. #TakeNote | @kslsports pic.twitter.com/1VcJwNXDPi

Bolmaro is entering his second season in the NBA after averaging 1.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 35 appearances with Minnesota last season.
At this point, it seems there is a reasonable chance Bolmaro could make an appearance for the Jazz in Las Vegas.
The Jazz will also be hosting a veteran camp in Vegas where new coach Will Hardy will get his first opportunity to work with the team.
