About Colin Kaepernick
After playing college football at Nevada from 2006-10, Kaepernick was selected by the San Francisco 49ers during the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Kaepernick went on to play for the Niners until 2016. In his second season with San Francisco, Kaepernick helped the 49ers reach Super Bowl XLVII.
In 2014, Kaepernick signed a six-year contract with San Francisco that was worth up to $126 million. Two years later, Kaepernick entered the season having had multiple surgeries during the offseason. He ended up playing 12 games, his last appearances in the league.
