Salt Lake Bees outfielder Jo Adell heads to first base

SALT LAKE CITY – In a seventh inning hole, home runs from Luis Rengifo and recently returned Jo Adell turned an 8-4 deficit into a 9-8 Bees lead.

Trailing by four runs entering the seventh inning, Kean Wong led of the bottom half of the fram with a bunt single to first, advancing to second when Orlando Martinez singled to center. Magneuris Sierra loaded the bases with a line drive single to right, setting the table for for Rengifo.

Ahead in the count 1-0 while facing Asher Wojciechowski, Rengifo turned on the offering, depositing the ball beyond the centerfield fence and tying the game at eight runs apiece.

After Michael Stefanic flew out to center, Jo Adell launched a no-doubt 0-2 pitch to straightaway center that put the Bees in front 9-8.

Adell 2-4 in his second game of 2022 with the Bees after going 1-4 with a double yesterday. Adell added two RBI to go along with his first Triple-A homer of the year.

Seven Bees have a hit tonight with Adell, Wong and Sierra each notching two hits through eight innings. Making his first start since April 13, Janson Junk went four innings and allowed four runs on six hits while walking none. Five relievers have combined to allow five Rainier runs.
