Instant Replay: Sixers’ Joel Embiid Buries Massive Three To Beat Raptors

SALT LAKE CITY – NBA MVP finalist Joel Embiid buried a buzzer-beating three-pointer to lift the Philadelphia 76ers over the Toronto Raptors.
The Raptors hosted the Sixers for Game 3 of their first round series on Wednesday, April 20.
With 0.8 seconds in overtime, Danny Green inbounded the ball into Embiid, who turned around and faded before putting up a 27-foot attempt.
Embiid’s shot sailed through the cylinder as the 24-second shot clock expired.

Toronto was unable to score on its subsequent possession and Philadelphia captured a 104-101 victory.
The win gave the 76ers a 3-0 series lead.
Embiid finished the game with 33 points on 12-20 shooting, including 3-8 from beyond the arc. He added 13 rebounds, two assists, and a blcok in 44 minutes of action.
This season, Embiid averaged 30.6 points per game, whick led the league in scoring. He also recorded 11.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.1 steals per contest.

The Sixers center is one of three MVP finalists, along with Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks).
Game 4 between the 76ers and Raptors will take place in Toronto on Saturday, April 23 at 12 p.m. (MDT). The game will be televised on TNT.
