SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder thanked the team’s fan base and community during his pregame interview ahead of fan appreciation night.
The Jazz hosted the Suns at Vivint Arena for fan appreciation night on Friday, April 8.
Prior to tip-off, Snyder expressed gratitude for Jazz nation.
“I also think it’s a very knowledgeable fanbase. I think we have smart fans,” Snyder told the media of the fan base and community. “On a personal level, being a part of this community is something that’s been special. You know we’ve built a home you feel. You feel at home.”

Snyder recalled the earlier years of his tenure as head coach and the Jazz nation’s support even through losing streaks.
“There’s some places you go and everybody gets frustrated. And fans get frustrated. But the way that our fans, you know, the way that manifests itself is in support,” Snyder said. “They try to lift you and that’s hard to do.”
After serving as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Atlanta Hawks, Snyder was hired as Utah’s head coach on June 6, 2014.
During his time in Utah, Snyder has led the Jazz to six straight playoff berths.
Last season, he was honored as an NBA All-Star Game head coach.
Utah’s game against Phoenix is broadcast on AT&T SportsNet, NBA TV, and The Zone Sports Network.
