Crunching The Numbers
Utah Athletics over the past several months have been working with an outside partner to study their ticket pricing before jumping into ticket increases. This is what the study found:
- Season ticket prices were 24% below the average of Utah’s Pac-12 peers in 2021.
- Even with the price increase, Utah will still be 29% below their conference peers in ticket price and donation combined. Utah will still be one of the most affordable options for season tickets amongst all Power Five teams.
- With the Utes’ season ticket increase, they will still only be in the middle of the Pac-12 in terms of pricing.
- 8.7% of seats will actually see a decrease in price, while most seats will only go up about $10-$12 per game.
- Through Utah’s new pricing structure, they have created 15 different pricing options for fans which is up from 11 options in 2021.
- Utah now has a new, $350 base option for fans that is more equally distributed across the stadium.
- Costs in the new Ken Garff Red Zone and Scholarship Box seats will remain the same in 2022.
Fans Make The Difference
Over the past three seasons the Utes have had one of the best home field advantages in the entire country. Since 2019, Utah has won 19 of their 20 home games with their only loss coming in 2020 against USC. The Utes went undefeated at home in 2019 (7-0) and 2021 (6-0).
