Legendary Rapper Chuck D Pens Illustration Of Jazz Broadcasters

SALT LAKE CITY – It may sound like a Madlib or an April Fools joke, but it’s true, legendary rapper Chuck D drew a picture of Utah Jazz radio broadcasters David Locke and Ron Boone.
On Friday, Chuck D posted his drawing of the Jazz longtime duo on his Twitter page for his nearly 700,000 followers to see.
“I don’t go off photos for exactness I blink at em and look away…,” the rapper tweeted. “But this is how I picture @DLocke09 and Ron Boone on those @utahjazz radio casts! Lol”

The illustration shows Locke acting out his high-energy broadcast, while Boone looks on from behind him.
Chuck D is the founding member of the revolutionary hip hop group Public Enemy which he formed with fellow rapper Flavor Flav.
The pair have been credited as one of the most influential hip-hop duos in music history.
Chuck D has long been a fan of the Jazz radio broadcast, often referring to Locke by the nickname “Playcasso.”
“With @utahjazz exploding thus season I guarantee David Locke @lockedonsports has temporarily lost his voice… in a good way lololol he’s insane on the mic @SiriusXMNBA,” the rapper tweeted last year during the Jazz run to the top of the NBA standings.
The Public Enemy star is a lifelong artist having graduated from Adelphi University with a degree in fine arts. On his Twitter page Chuck D shares drawings of everything from his favorite athletes, to musicians, to politicians.
