Funk started in all 28 games that he played in and finished second in scoring at 13.2 points per game. He knocked down 76 threes in 204 attempts, shooting 37%.
Funk had a great season with Saint Joseph’s in 2020-21, averaging 17.4 points per game, while starting in 20 games and knocking down 52 three-pointers.
Coming out of high school, Funk was a three-star recruit and the No. 13 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania. The Hawks finished the 2021-22 season with an 11-19 overall record and 5-13 in A10 play. Utah State went 18-16 overall and 8-10 in Mountain West play last season.
The Aggies lost some key players so far this off-season, including All-Mountain West performer Justin Bean and sharpshooter Brock Miller. Bean declared for the NBA Draft and Miller medically retired.
It was a solid season for Utah State in their first season under Ryan Odom as head coach of the program.
