NFL Announces Detroit As Host City For 2024 Draft

SALT LAKE CITY – The National Football League announced the Lions organization and the city of Detroit, Michigan as the host for the 2024 NFL Draft.
The league announced the decision on Monday, March 28.
It will be Detroit’s first time hosting the NFL Draft.
“The Draft has become a prominent offseason event across the country, and we are excited to work with the Lions and their partners to bring the 2024 NFL Draft to the Motor City,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said. “With the help of Visit Detroit, the Detroit Sports Commission, and the City of Detroit the Lions passionate fan base and all visitors will be treated to an incredible three-day experience.”

According to DetroitLions.com, the draft will take place in downtown Detroit.
“The area around Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza will serve as the event site for the Draft, which has become one of the most anticipated sports events of the year for the tens of thousands of fans who will attend the three-day event and millions more watching and engaging around the world.”
Weather permitting, the draft will be outside at Campus Martius Park. Music events will be held at Ford Field and/or LCA. Fireworks on the river. Events will take place all across the city.

12 cities have hosted the NFL Draft. In April, Las Vegas, Nevada will become the 13th city to host the event.
The 2023 NFL Draft will take place in Kansas City, Missouri.

This year’s draft is scheduled to be held from April 28-30.
It will be broadcast on ESPN and NFL Network.
