Utah Warriors Take Down Defending Champs LA Giltinis For Second Straight Win

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Warriors have won their last two games, including a 28-19 win over the defending champion LA Giltinis on Sunday afternoon.
After an 0-3 start to the season, the Utah Warriors are back on track after getting a big win over the LA Giltinis at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The first points of the game came from LA with a try that put them up 7-0. Cliven Loubser made a kick to put the Warriors on the board as they trailed 7-3. In the final seconds of the first half, Lance Williams gave the Warriors the lead with a try to put them up 10-7 at the break.

After the Giltinis put two points on the board to retake the lead. Utah responded with another kick by Loubser to put the Warriors ahead 13-12 in the 55th minute.

In the 63rd minute, Loubser put another three points on the board with his foot to give the Warriors a 16-12 lead. It was all Utah in the final 20 minutes of the game with Niall Saunders getting a try in the 70th minute but they couldn’t get a conversion.
Lance Williams put the match away with a try and conversion in the 75th minute to give the Warriors a 28-19 win.
The Warriors improved their record to 2-3-0 on the season. They will return home to face the Toronto Arrows on Saturday, March 19 at 2:30 p.m. MT on KSLSports.com, the KSL Sports app and the KSL TV app.
