SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake has announced that it will enter the clash with New England unchanged from a week ago against Seattle.
Zac MacMath, who was listed as questionable with a leg injury, has been cleared for play and will start in goal following consecutive shutouts to start the season. Erik Holt, Justen Glad, and Marcelo Silva solidify the backline. The midfield five includes Andrew Brody, Scott Caldwell, Pablo Ruiz, Tate Schmitt, and Maikel Chang while Bobby Wood and Justin Meram sit at the point of the attack.
The 3-5-2 will be utilized for the third consecutive week under Mastroeni’s watch.

Sadly, Real Salt Lake captain Damir Kreilach will not be available following a calf strain. His absence is simply out of caution, according to a club statement.
Caldwell returns to New England for the first time as a visitor. Caldwell spent the previous nine seasons with the Revolution.
“There is a whole bunch of things that I am excited for, one, of course, to see all the fans that I played in front of and grew up with,” Caldwell said when asked what he is most looking forward to when it comes to returning home. “Also just to see all my former teammates and buddies over there and to be able to play against them and of course my family and friends who will be there. Just being able to connect with people back home for a little bit,” he added.
Also, the weather in Foxborough, Massachusetts, is expected to be frigid with reports that snow and light winds are expected and temperatures will get into the 20s as the evening progresses.

It will be the second consecutive week in which Real Salt Lake will be asked to deal with the elements. Last week, a 2 hour and 15-minute weather delay took place that saw rain, hail, and snow in Sandy, Utah.
