The Blazers struggled keep pace with the Wildcats for most of the contest. After a close start to the game, Abilene Christian had built a double-digit lead midway through the opening half. Dixie State trailed by 13 points at the halftime break.
The Trailblazers played much better in the second half but it wasn’t enough to slow down ACU or cut the first half deficit down.
Abilene Christian outscored Dixie State by only three points over the final minutes but used the early lead to hold on for a win by double figures.
The Blazers finished the night shooting 43.2 percent overall and 30.0 percent from beyond the arc. Hunter Schofield led Dixie State with 15 points on 6-11 field goals.
