SALT LAKE CITY – Donovan Mitchell came up big down the stretch as the Utah Jazz won their third straight win with a 113-104 victory over the New York Knicks.

Mitchell had 32 points, seven rebounds, and six assists as the Jazz erased a double-digit lead by the Knicks in the second half.

Julius Randle scored 30 for the Knicks who lost for the ninth time in their last 11 games.

First Quarter

The Knicks got off to a hot start against the Jazz by repeatedly taking advantage of the Mitchell Robinson vs. Udoka Azubuike matchup.

Robinson had 10 points and seven rebounds in the opening minute of the game as New York jumped out to a double-digit lead.

However, once Robinson left the floor the Jazz were able to once again attack the rim while the Knicks’ offense stalled.

After one, the Jazz and Knick were tied at 28.

Second Quarter

Neither team shot the ball particularly well in the first half as the Jazz shot just 5-21 from the three-point line and New York shot just 3-18 from three.

Donovan Mitchell carried the Jazz with 21 first half points on 8-14 shooting while Bojan Bogdanovic and Mike Conley added 11 points each.

Julius Randle led the Knicks with 13 points while Robinson and RJ Barrett added 12 points each.

At the half, the Jazz led the Knicks 59-57.

Third Quarter

The Jazz opened the second half on a 9-1 run to build their lead to 68-58, their largest of the game.

However, the Knicks answered with a 14-2 run to take an 82-70 lead late in the third.

The Jazz however answered with a late run of their own spurred by high-energy plays from Trent Forrest and Azubuike to trim the Knicks lead to just four heading into the final period.

After three, the Jazz trailed New York 86-82.

Fourth Quarter

The Jazz second unit of Jordan Clarkson and Eric Paschall gave the team big minutes late in the third and early in the fourth.

Though Paschall scored just seven points and grabbed two rebounds, he was a +21 in 16 minutes.

Clarkson meanwhile had 16 points on 6-12 shooting to give the team a needed offensive boost.

Mitchell’s big play late in the fourth quarter came up big as the Jazz star finished with 30 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.

The Jazz beat the Knicks 113-103 for their third straight win.
