SALT LAKE CITY – The shorthanded Utah Jazz will look to complete a regular season sweep of the Denver Nuggets tonight at Vivint Arena.

The Jazz are 3-0 this season against Denver and can finish the sweep with a win tonight over their Northwest Division foe, but will have to do so without several top rotation players.

Donovan Mitchell will miss his eighth straight game with a concussion while Rudy Gobert will miss his fifth straight game with a calf strain.

Injuries Permeating Jazz Roster

In addition to Gobert and Mitchell who haven’t shared the floor since the team’s January 17 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, the team will be missing several other key contributors on the roster.

This will be the Jazz first game without Joe Ingles after the veteran star tore his ACL in the team’s Sunday night loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Reserve center Hassan Whiteside will also miss tonight’s game with a lower back strain, as will Danuel House Jr. who is in COVID protocol.

Second unit guards Jordan Clarkson and Trent Forrest are both listed as questionable ahead of the Jazz matchup with Denver due to minor injuries, while coach Quin Snyder will miss his second consecutive game due to COVID protocols.

Denver Has Rest Disadvantage Against Jazz

Though the Nuggets will certainly be the healthier roster when they face the Jazz, they won’t be more well-rested.

For the third time in their four meetings this season, the Jazz will have at least a one-day rest advantage over Denver when the two teams match up.

While the Jazz were recovering yesterday in Salt Lake City, the Nuggets were in Minnesota where they fell to the Timberwolves 130-115.

The Jazz had two-day rest advantages in victories over the Nuggets both in late October and mid-January.

Broadcast

The Jazz and Nuggets will tip-off at 8 pm MT and can be heard on KSL NewsRadio and The Zone Sports Network. The game will be televised on ESPN, AT&T SportsNet, and FuboTV.
