Weber State’s Starters Lead In Blowout Victory Over Sacramento State

SALT LAKE CITY – Weber State’s starting lineup carried the Wildcats in a blowout road win over the Sacramento State Hornets.
The Hornets hosted the Wildcats on Saturday, January 29.
Weber State beat Sacramento State, 79-59.

Four of the Wildcats’ starters reached double figures in scoring to lead Weber State in the 20-point win.
Jamison Overton, Dontay Bassett, Seikou Sisoho Jawara, and Koby McEwen each scored at least 13 points. The four players combined for 65 of Weber State’s total.

The Wildcats opened the game with a big first half. Weber State owned a double-digit lead at the halftime break, 40-25.
Over the final 20 minutes of game time, the Wildcats outscored the Hornets by five points and run away with a win.

Weber State finished the game shooting 58.3 percent overall and 54.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Overton led Weber State with 18 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

With the win, the Wildcats improved their record to 16-5 overall. and 9-1 in Big Sky Conference games.
