Weber State Storms Back With Big Second Half To Beat Northern Colorado

SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State Wildcats needed a big second half but was able to pull off an 85-76 road win against Northern Colorado on Thursday night.
Northern Colorado outscored Weber State 43-33 in the first half. The Wildcats came out in the second half and dropped 52 points and held the Bears to 33 points.
Dillon Jones recorded a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds to lead Weber State. J.J. Overton chipped in 17 points and five boards. Koby McEwen had 15 points and five assists, while Seikou Sisoho-Jawara added 14 points.

The Wildcats shot 50% from the field, 47% from the three-point line and 66% at the free throw line. It was the turnover margin that was a difference in the game with WSU committing just eight turnovers compared to the 20 from Northern Colorado.
Daylen Kountz led the Bears with 22 points, while Dru Kuxhausen posted 20 points and six rebounds. Bodie Hume added 17 points. They shot 43% from the floor, 43% from downtown and 86% at the foul line.
Weber State improved their record to 15-5 overall and 8-1 in Big Sky play. They will wrap up their road trip on Saturday, January 29 when they face Sacramento State at 8 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
