PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s basketball set the record again this season for highest AP Top 25 ranking in program history.
The 15-1 BYU Cougars are No. 16 in the latest Women’s Basketball Top 25. That ranking ties the all-time high, set earlier this year back in December.

BYU has been on a tear during West Coast Conference play. Led by Shaylee Gonzales, Lauren Gustin, and Paisley Harding, BYU is 5-0 in the conference and has won seven in a row overall.
BYU’s only setback this year was a 99-91 overtime loss to future Big 12 foe Oklahoma, 99-91 on December 10.
Each of BYU’s five victories in league play has been by double-figures, two of them being by 40-plus.
BYU is just one of four teams in this week’s AP Top 25, with only one loss this season. The others include No. 1 South Carolina (17-1), No. 4 Tennessee (18-1), and No. 25 Florida Gulf Coast (17-1).
This week, BYU has three games on the schedule, all in WCC play and at the Marriott Center. BYU will host San Diego tonight, Santa Clara on Thursday, and San Francisco on Saturday.
