SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz hit some big shots down the stretch in their comeback attempt against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night.
Houston was red-hot from the three-point line and while it wasn’t Utah’s night from beyond the arc, the Jazz made big shots late.
The first clutch play came with two minutes remaining in the game and the Rockets holding a 106-101 lead. Bojan Bogdanovic attempted a three in the corner when he missed. Royce O’Neale collected the offensive rebound and threw it back out to Bogdanovic, who made the second attempt.

Jae’Sean Tate converted an and-one to extend their lead to 109-104. Mike Conley went down the floor and drilled a step-back three to cut the deficit to two-points.
With a chance to take the lead, O’Neale missed a wide open triple. Houston took off from that point and pulled off the 116-111 win.
The Jazz dropped their record to 29-16. They will return to Vivint Arena to face the Detroit Pistons on Friday, January 21 at 7 p.m. MT on AT&T SportsNet and The Zone Sports Network.
