Utah Valley Falls To Seattle U After Late Second Half Collapse

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Valley Wolverines couldn’t pull out a win on the road as they fell to Seattle U 71-65 on Wednesday night in the Pacific Northwest.
Utah Valley had a lead in the final minutes of the game but then went cold and didn’t make a field goal for about three minutes. Fardaws Aimaq led the Wolverines with 16 points and nine rebounds, while shooting 5-of-19 from the field. Le’Tre Darthard dropped 15 points and seven rebounds. Connor posted 13 points.
UVU outscored Seattle U 32-23 before the Redhawks dropped 48 points in the second half, while limiting Utah Valley to just 33 points. The Wolverines shot 37% from the field, 29% from the three-point line and 74% from the free throw line.

Cameron Tyson led the Redhawks with 25 points on 9-of-20 shooting from the floor and 5-for-13 from beyond the arc. Darrion Trammell posted 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Riley Grigsby added 13 points.
Seattle U shot 38% from the floor, 30% from the three-point line and 81% at the charity stripe.
Utah Valley dropped their record to 11-5 overall and 2-2 in WAC play. They will wrap up their road trip at California Baptist on Saturday, January 15 at 8 p.m. MT on ESPN+.
