SALT LAKE CITY – Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced that former Utah Utes quarterback Tyler Huntley will start during his team’s regular season finale.
Huntley and the Ravens will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 on Sunday, January 9.
It’s will be the former Utah standout’s second straight start and his fourth of the 2021 season.
“He’s played well. He can play better,” the Ravens coach said of Huntley. “That’s what he is aiming to do this week — to improve and build on his past performances. I’m looking forward to seeing that happen.”

Huntley will play in place of Baltimore starter Lamar Jackson, who is missing his fourth consecutive contest because of an ankle sprain.
The former Ute would likely have started consecutive contests in Jackson’s absence but was unable to play on December 26 after he was placed on the Ravens’ COVID-19/Reserve list.
“I’m feeling way better this week,” Huntley said ahead of the regular season finale.
“I feel like it’s helping me a lot.”

Week 18 Hopes
Huntley and the Ravens are still in the playoff race but need help during Week 18.
Baltimore will need to beat the Steelers and have the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers, and Miami Dolphins all lose their regular season finales.
“It’s just a blessing… You grow up seeing that on TV, all the legendary games.”
