Hello, everyone,” Gobert said to the crowd of 18,000-plus fans. “For my teammates, coaches, and the whole Jazz organization, we just want to thank you guys for the amazing support. Thank you guys for coming and we wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.”
The entire Jazz organization was feeling the Christmas spirit ahead of the game. Santa Claus made an appearance at the game, while the Jazz Bear was decked out in Christmas gear, as were attendants inside Vivint Arena greeting fans as they entered the game.

“We’re playing on Christmas,” Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell said of the opportunity. “It’s a blessing to be able to play on that day.”
The game marked the eighth time the Jazz had played on Christmas day dating back to their first appearance in 1975 when the team was playing in New Orleans.
The Jazz last played on Christmas day in 2018 when they beat the Portland Trail Blazers.
