Dixie State Makes History In Blowout Win Over SAGU American Indian College

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Dixie State Trailblazers made history for their head coach as they picked up a dominating 114-49 win over SAGU American Indian College.
With the win, Dixie State head coach Jon Judkins picked up his 583rd career victory which passed Elaine Elliott for the winningest coach (men or women) in Utah collegiate basketball history.

The Trailblazers coasted in the first half by outscoring the Warriors 47-23 in the first half and elevated that in the second half by putting up 67 points and limiting them to 26 in the second half.
Cameron Gooden led the way with 16 points. Frank Staine dropped 15 points, along with 13 points from Hunter Schofield. Jamaal Barnes chipped in 11 points off the bench. Jacob Nicolds and Hunter Bohls each had nine points, while Noa Gonsalves, Isaiah Pope and Trey Edmonds added eight points apiece.
DSU shot 52% from the field, 56% from the three-point line and 9-of-14 from the free throw line.
Dixie State improved their record to 6-5 on the season. They will hit the road for two games to round out their non-conference schedule beginning on Saturday, December 18 against North Dakota at noon MT.
