SALT LAKE CITY – KSLSports.com and The Zone Sports Network college football analyst and show host Hans Olsen gave a full video breakdown of Utah State’s Mountain West Conference title win over San Diego State.
Utah State beat San Diego State 46-13 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California for their first Mountain West Conference Championship in school history.
Hans Olsen pulled up multiple clips and gave an in-depth breakdown on what made Utah State successful in their win.
Olsen broke down a great pass near the end of the first quarter, even though Logan Bonner had a open receiver about 10 yards from the line of scrimmage.

The former defensive lineman went back to his roots and gave an in-depth look at a play where the defensive line came up with a big play.
USU football fans. A look back at the MWC championship game.
Some high level defensive coaching here to control and contain a QB that can and will cause damage with his feet!

The next play that was highlighted was a play involving star WR Deven Thompkins on a simple route concept.
USU WR Deven Thompkins has been 1st or 2nd in the country all year in receiving yards. SDSU did everything they could to take him out of this championship game. USU coaches still got him involved during the most crucial downs. I’ll show you how they did it. pic.twitter.com/MjZhcESU4l

Early in the second quarter, Logan Bonner made a big play as he rushed to the outside for 12 yards on third down.

Olsen also played offensive line in the NFL, so he gave some props to the big guys up front on a successful run by Calvin Tyler.
USU RB Calvin Tyler has done his job well all season, but I LOVED this effort. And, as usual….. no one saw everyone else do their job. Some excellent blocking for this massive run! pic.twitter.com/GyvWAwSWu7

Who doesn’t love a good tackle on the quarterback? Olsen broke down a sack that A.J. Vongphachanh had against San Diego State.
