SALT LAKE CITY – The final College Football Playoff rankings are out and like the AP and Coaches poll, Utah catapulted over BYU.
Pac-12 Champion Utes are No. 11 in the final rankings after defeating Oregon in the league championship game. That was a huge climb as Utah jumped six spots.

BYU dropped from No. 12 to No. 13 in the rankings. That leaves BYU outside of being in the pool for the New Year’s Six.
Utah will face the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2022 Rose Bowl, while BYU is expected to play in the Independence Bowl.
