Utah WR Britain Covey Named Pac-12 Scholar Athlete Of The Year

LAS VEGAS – The Pac-12 announced that Utah wide receiver and return specialist Britain Covey has been named the Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.
It was announced hours before Utah would take on Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game at Allegiant Stadium that Britain Covey is the first football player since joining the league in 2011 to be awarded Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.
The award is handed out to every conference sponsored sport. Utah’s last winner was 2019 when women’s tennis standout Brianna Chisholm was recognized.

Covey has carried a 3.86 cumulative grade-point average. He completed his business degree this past summer and accumulated a list of accolades in his career.
Covey has been named CoSIDA Academic All-District (2018, ’20, ’21), CoSIDA Academic All-America (2020), Pac-12 All-Academic and Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll (2018, ’19, ’20). He’s made six appearances on the University of Utah Dean’s List, and earned seven career Athletic Director’s Honor Roll awards.
