SALT LAKE CITY – Former Real Salt Lake manager and current Sounders assistant Freddy Juarez is being praised by his Seattle colleagues and players ahead of the first-round playoff clash against his former team.
Both Brian and Cristian talked about how valuable Freddy Juarez has been in preparation for RSL, being able to highlight the tendencies of their players and know how to get them frustrated. Big advantage having him, plus playing at home. 7pm Pre-Match Show on 1090 KJR tomorrow!

No surprise, but Juarez has been very “valuable” in helping Seattle prepare for Real Salt Lake. He has highlighted “tendencies” and supposedly knows how to make RSL “frustrated,” according to recent comments made by Sounders manager Brian Schmetzer and key playmaker Cristian Roldan.
Interestingly, Real Salt Lake and Seattle have played one and another on one occasion since Juarez made the move to the pacific north-west with Real winning the fixture 1-0 following a Damir Kreilach header in the 48th minute.
Juarez sat in the box for the first half of that game before making the move to the bench for the second 45 minutes.
With this evenings game being played at Lumen Field, the advantage is certainly in favour of Seattle.
