Weber State Beats Green Bay, Improves To 5-0 Record

SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State men’s basketball team defeated the Green Bay Phoenix and improved to a 5-0 record this season.
The Wildcats and Phoenix played as part of the Jersey Mike’s Classic in Saint Petersburg, Florida on Sunday, November 21.
Weber State beat Green Bay, 68-58.
With the win, the Wildcats picked up their fifth win of the 2021-22 campaign. It’s Weber State’s first 5-0 start since the 1985-86 season.

The Wildcats took control of the contest during the first half of action and led the Phoenix by nine points at halftime.

Weber State maintained its lead during the final 20 minutes of game time and outscored Green Bay by a point during the second half.
The Wildcats finished the game shooting 49.1 percent from the field, including 30.4 percent from beyond the arc.
Seikou Sisoho Jawara led Weber State with 20 points on 7-9 field goals. JJ Overton added 16 points for the Wildcats.
Weber State’s next game is on the road against the Dixie State Trailblazers on Saturday, November 27 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
