SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz are celebrating the fifth anniversary of the 5 For The Fight campaign during tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The anniversary marks the anniversary of the 5 For The Fight jersey patch on the Jazz’s uniforms, which was originally purchased by Qualtrics to help raise money for cancer research.
The initial plan to use the jersey patch space to raise money was for cancer research was supposed to last one season, but after a successful first year, Ryan Smith, the co-founder and CEO of Qualtirics decided to keep the fundraising measure in place.
To date, 5 For The Fight has raised nearly $30 million for cancer research.
