Julio’s goal came later in the year when he clinched three points against the LA Galaxy at home with the final kick of the game. Kreilach played a long through ball onto the path of Julio who flicked the ball over a Galaxy defender and struck the ball on the volley from outside the box with his non-preferred left foot and finding the back of the net.
Both goals are sensational in their own right and are more than deserving of being selected as potential Goal of the Year candidates. Real Salt Lake has the second most candidates on the 16 goal list, only behind the Seattle Sounders who have four goals submitted as finalists.
