SALT LAKE CITY – During Saturday’s Utah football game, an unlikely star stole the show: Baby Swoop.

Baby Swoop (Welles Farrimond), a lifelong Utah football fan was faced with a choice, go trick-or-treating or go to the Utah game against UCLA? It was an easy choice. In fact, Welles has been attending Utah football games since he was 2 weeks old!
He wore his homemade Swoop costume to the game.
Yes, you read that right…HOMEMADE. Baby Swoop’s mom made the costume a few years ago so he and his friend could go as Swoop and BYU’s mascot, Cosmo.
(Check out the photos at the bottom of the story to see the process of making the costume.)
Welles has always chosen Utah Football over everything. When most kids want to watch Netflix or a cartoon, he wanted to watch Utah games his parents recorded.
Zero hesitation when we asked him if he wanted to go to the @Utah_Football game or go trick or treating. #biggestfan @SwoopHawk @UUtah pic.twitter.com/ywu81vjS7e

Always a lover of running backs, Zach Moss and the late Ty Jordan are his favorite players. During playtime, when he’s practicing running plays he pretends to be Jordan. Being at Saturday’s game must have been extra special.
He even met a former Swoop at the game.
The real Swoop and the entire crowd at Rice Eccles stadium quickly fell in love with Welles as the stadium erupted in “Baby Swoop” chants.

“He’s seriously been obsessed forever. Everything he draws is Utah-related. Everything he plays is Utah-related. He would put on football pads and a helmet while we were watching a game at home and pretend like he was doing the same plays as the Utes,” Keira Farrimond (Baby Swoop’s mom) told KSL Sports.
