Weber State Runs Over Idaho State For Second Straight Win

SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State Wildcats took down the Idaho State Bengals for a road win and their second straight victory.
The Bengals hosted the Wildcats on Saturday, October 30.
Weber State won, 40-17.
The Wildcats jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the opening quarter.
Idaho State bounced back in the second quarter and outscored WSU, 10-7, in the final 15 minutes of the first half.
Weber State took a 17-10 lead in the locker room at halftime.
The Wildcats ran away from the Bengals in the second half of play. Weber State outscored ISU in the third quarter, 10-7, and took a 27-17 lead into the final 15 minutes.
Weber State’s Rashid Shaheed returned a kickoff for 98 yards and touchdown during the third quarter. It was his seventh career kickoff return for a touchdown, which is a new FCS record.
Weber State scored 13 more points and held Idaho State off the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.
The Wildcats captured their second straight win with a 40-17 victory over the Bengals.
Kris Jackson led WSU with a pair of touchdowns against ISU.
With the win, the Wildcats improved to a 4-4 record this season, including 3-2 in Big Sky Conference action.
Weber State’s next game is at home against the Portland State Vikings on Saturday, November 6 at 1 p.m. (MDT). The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
