Clarkson, Green Become First Two Players Of Filipino Descent To Play In Same NBA Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson and Houston Rockets rookie Jalen Green became the first two players of Filipino descent to play in the same NBA game.
The Rockets hosted Clarkson and the Jazz on Thursday, October 28.
Houston celebrated Filipino Heritage Night as they welcomed Utah into the Toyota Center.
Clarkson’s mother is from the Philippines as is Green’s maternal grandfather.

Utah led Houston at halftime, 61-40.
During the first two quarters, Clarkson had six points on 2-6 shooting. Last season’s NBA Sixth Man of the Year added three rebounds and two assists in 13 minutes of action.

Green posted 11 points on 2-12 shooting to go along with a pair of rebounds, one steal, and a block.
