Utah QB Cam Rising Named To Davey O’Brien Award Class Of 2021

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – University of Utah quarterback Cam Rising has been named to the Davey O’Brien Award QB Class of 2021 after a strong season.
This means that Cam Rising is now eligible to be voted as a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award. The list of 16 will be revealed on Tuesday, November 9.
Fans are encouraged to vote and can do so by going to @DaveyOBrien on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. The top five vote recipients on each social media platform will get a boost from the Davey O’Brien Award National Selection Committee.

Rising has started the last four games and took over the quarterback job from Charlie Brewer midway through the third week of the season against San Diego State. During that time, Rising has completed 99 of his 154 pass attempts for 1,139 yards, 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. Rising has also added 32 carries for 237 yards and two TD’s.
The Utes will return to Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, October 30 to battle the UCLA Bruins. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. MT and will be televised on ESPN.
