Raiders Activate Former BYU TE Matt Bushman From Practice Squad

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Las Vegas Raiders announced that former BYU tight end Matt Bushman has been activated from the team’s practice squad.
Las Vegas moved Bushman to the 53-man roster on Saturday, October 23.
“We have placed TE Nick Bowers on the Reserve/Injured list. We have activated TE Matt Bushman and LB Marquel Lee from the practice squad,” the Raiders announced.
Bushman signed with the Raiders as a free agent following the 2021 NFL Draft. He’s spent the first portion of the season as a member of Las Vegas’ practice squad.

The Raiders’ next game is against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, October 24 at 2:05 p.m. (MDT) on FOX.
Las Vegas owns a 4-2 record this season.
Matt Bushman at BYU
Bushman played for the Cougars from 2017-20.
He played in 39 games over his first three seasons. Bushman missed the entire 2020 season after suffering an Achilles injury.
In his freshman campaign, Bushman had 47 catches for 688 yards and four touchdowns.

He followed that up with a sophomore season of 29 receptions for 511 yards and two touchdowns.
In his junior year, Bushman had 49 catches for 520 yards and three touchdowns.
Bushman finished his college career with totals of 125 receptions for 1,719 yards and nine touchdowns.
