MLSPA Updates Salary List As Datkovic, Wood, Menéndez Wages Made Public

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The salaries of Toni Daktovic, Bobby Wood, and Jonathan Menéndez have been made public by the MLS Players Association following an update of their salary list.
The MLSPA last updated the salary list on April 15th before Real Salt Lake had signed Datkovic, Wood, and Menéndez.
Datkovic, 27, was signed on June 2nd and is making a base salary of $420K with a guaranteed compensation of $468,175. Wood was signed on April 2nd and is on a base salary of $875K with a guaranteed compensation of $968,161. Menéndez was signed on May 29th and is on a base salary of $500K with a guaranteed compensation of $602,813.

Real Salt Lake ranks 14th in MLS wage bill having spent $12.66 million in the month of September alone. The league leader in monthly wage bills is the LA Galaxy who forked out $20.32 million in September. Atlanta United and Toronto FC round out the top three highest spenders per month.
Interestingly, despite currently sitting third in the Western Conference, the Colorado Rapids spend the least amount of money per month on their roster. Just $9.89 million was spent on the salaries of Rapids players in September.
The highest-paid player for Real Salt Lake remains Albert Rusnák who cashes $2.15 million a year. Whereas, the likes of Noah Powder, Jeff Dewsnup, and Bode Davis all make the league minimum $63, 547 annually.
