Rudy Gobert Has Hot Start In Preseason Debut For Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert had a great start in his first preseason game with the Jazz leading into the 2021-22 season on Monday.
Rudy Gobert finished the first half with 11 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and a block on 5-for-6 shooting from the field in 14 minutes on the floor.
The Jazz held a 63-46 halftime lead over the New Orleans Pelicans at Vivint Arena.

Gobert had a nice dunk over Jonas Valanciunas on a alley-oop pass from Donovan Mitchell in the first half. He also made a nice recovery to block a shot by Devontae Graham. The Frenchman even made a nice assist as Josh Hart pushed Gobert out of bounds but the big man still managed to pass the ball to Eric Paschall for a layup while falling out of bounds.

Hart was later ejected after exchanging words with an official.
The Jazz will wrap up their preseason schedule at home on Wednesday, October 13 against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m. MDT on AT&T SportsNet. They will begin the season at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, October 20 at 7 p.m. MDT.
