This will be the second time that the Utes will play on ESPN, with the first one taking place on Saturday, September 11 in their loss to BYU in Provo.

Utah and Arizona State did not play during the 2020 season with their game getting canceled due to COVID-19 cases within the Sun Devils program. The Utes quickly picked up a road game against Washington that week.
Herm Edwards’ team is ranked No. 22 in the country in the AP Top 25 poll. They are 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Pac-12 play, coming off of a 42-23 win over UCLA at the Rose Bowl. ASU also has wins over Southern Utah, UNLV and Colorado, with their lone loss coming against BYU.
The Sun Devils will host Stanford on Friday, October 8 at 7:30 p.m. MT on ESPN. Utah will head to Los Angeles to face the USC Trojans on Saturday, October 9 at 6 p.m. MT on FOX.
