Utah State Caps Long Drive Against BYU With Bonner-Thompkins Touchdown

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies ended a long drive against the BYU Cougars with a touchdown pass from Logan Bonner to Deven Thompkins.
The Aggies hosted the Cougars at Maverik Stadium on Friday, October 1.
With 9:52 left in the fourth quarter, Bonner connected with a wide-open Thompkins in the end zone for 28 yards and a touchdown.
The score capped a 14-play, 90-yard drive that lasted 4:23.

Thompkins’ catch cut BYU’s lead to 27-20.
After the toss, Bonner was 21/40 passing for 276 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The catch was Thompkins’ eighth of the game and put him at 110 yards receiving with one touchdown.

Utah State’s first touchdown of the contest came on an 18-play drive in the second quarter.
