RSL’s Damir Kreilach Breaks Tie Before Halftime Against LA Galaxy

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake midfielder Damir Kreilach broke the plane of the goal line to break a 0-0 tie before halftime against the LA Galaxy.
RSL hosted Los Angeles at Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday, September 29.
During the 45th minute of action, Kreilach connected on a shot towards the post.
Galaxy keeper Jonathan Bond attempted to save the shot, but the midfielder’s kick was sent all the way across the line and was ruled as a goal.
Kreilach’s kick gave RSL a 1-0 lead shortly before the break.

Real Salt Lake took the 1-0 advantage into the locker room at halftime despite playing 63 percent of the first half on defense.
The goal was Kreilach’s 12th of the season. He entered the match with 11 goals, five assists, 56 shots, and 30 shots on goal through 25 matches in 2021.
