PROVO, Utah – ESPN’s College Gameday had celebrity Ashton Kutcher on to make Saturday Selections, including BYU/Utah.
The weekly pregame show took place in Ames, Iowa, home of the Iowa State Cyclones. However, instead of pulling a Cyclone fan for Gameday predictions, ESPN went with an Iowa Hawkeye fan.
Kutcher didn’t endear himself to the Cyclone crowd with his Hawkeye affiliation, but also because he didn’t pick their fellow Big 12 friend, BYU.
With BYU now receiving invites into the Big 12 Conference, the Cyclones are pulling for BYU in the rivalry.
Along with Kutcher, the rest of the ESPN College Gameday crew picked the 95th edition of the rivalry game.

Former Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard picked Utah with their 10th consecutive win in the rivalry. Same with the coach Lee Corso.
ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit earlier in the broadcast said he was picking the Utes, but after Howard, Kutcher, and Corso picked the Utes, Herbie didn’t want all of them to be picking the same team. So he went with BYU in his pick.
Shortly after picking BYU, cheers from Iowa State fans were heard in the background. Something that you probably would not have heard a week ago.
Utah versus BYU kicks off at 8:15 p.m. on ESPN and KSL NewsRadio (102.7 FM, 1160 AM).
