LAS VEGAS, Nevada – What better place to drop a BYU football hype video than at the Las Vegas Strip?

In the buildup to Saturday night’s BYU-Arizona matchup, the Cougars released a video to get their supporters ready for gameday. And they did it in style.

BYU’s hype video for the Arizona game featured WRs Puka Nacua and Gunner Romney, QB Jaren Hall, RB Tyler Allgeier, TE Isaac Rex, LBs Payton Wilgar and Keenan Pili in suits and ties in front of the famous Bellagio fountains along the Las Vegas Strip.

I’m getting some strong Ocean’s 11 vibes from these guys with this hype video.

Speaking of hype, the nation isn’t placing my hype on BYU football this year, despite coming off an 11-1 season in 2020. Replacing Zach Wilson, a generational talent at QB is a tall order. But Jaren Hall steps into the spotlight as the successor who looks to revive the BYU QB factory again.

The wise guys here in the desert are giving some love to BYU in the opener against Arizona. BYU is a double-digit favorite over a Wildcats program that arrives in Vegas on a 12-game losing streak. New Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch has injected life into a helpless fan base after a 70-7 drubbing at the hands of their rival Arizona State last year. But still, BYU poses a tall order for a new Arizona squad.

If BYU executes on the field at the $2 billion Allegiant Stadium the way they did in this trendy Vegas lights hype video, BYU is going to be just fine against a hungry Arizona squad.
