SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Peter King from NBC Sports gave some nice praise to former Utah Utes and current Seattle Seahawks safety Marquise Blair.
Corey Seely from thedraftscout.com asked Peter King on Twitter to name some players that he sees emerging this season based on what King has seen or heard in training camp.
The number one player that King listed was Marquise Blair.
1 Marquise Blair, S, Sea.
2 Rayshawn Jenkins, S, Jax
3 Trey Smith, G, KC
4 Kendrick Green, C. Pitt
5 Joseph Charlton, P, Car. https://t.co/94i4ydTtq0— Peter King (@peter_king) August 23, 2021
Health has been an issue for Blair as he has suffered injuries in both seasons of his NFL career. As a rookie in 2019, Blair played in 14 games with three starts, racking up 32 tackles, two forced fumbles and a pass deflection. During the 2020 season, Blair appeared in just two games before suffering a season-ending injury.
Blair was selected in the second round with the 47th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks.
