Utah Football Cracks AP Top 25 Poll, BYU Receiving Votes

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The preseason AP Top 25 poll was released on Monday morning and the Utah football team cracked the rankings once again.
Utah came in at No. 24 in the country, while the BYU Cougars received six votes in the AP Top 25 poll.
The Utes are one of five Pac-12 teams to make the top 25 ranking, joining Oregon (11), USC (15), Washington (20) and Arizona State (25).
No. 1 Alabama tops the preseason AP Top 25 while Oklahoma, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia round out the top five. Cincinnati, Iowa State and North Carolina all make the top 10.

Last season, Utah was ranked No. 22 in the preseason AP poll. Then the Pac-12 postponed the season.

Utah will open the 2021 season at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Thursday, September 2 against Weber State at 5:30 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Network.
