SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake forward/midfielder Damir Kreilach got the club on the board very early against the Vancouver Whitecaps at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Just 43 seconds into the match, Damir Kreilach got the ball inside the 18-yard box with a defender on his hip when he poked the ball with his right foot. The ball traveled far post past the keeper and gave RSL a 1-0 lead in the first minute of the match.
With Vancouver not allowed to travel outside of Canada, they are playing all of their matches at Rio Tinto Stadium. Wednesday’s match is considered a road game for Real Salt Lake.
