Instant Replay: NFL QBs Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers Play Catch During ‘The Match’ Charity Golf Event

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – NFL quarterbacks Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers brought the gridiron to the golf course during this year’s edition of Capital One’s “The Match.”
The football stars participated in the charity golf event at The Reserve Golf Course at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana on July 6.
In between holes, Brady and Rodgers tossed the pigskin amid trash talking and poking fun at each other.

The duo own a combined eight Super Bowl rings, including seven by Brady.

The Match
Capital One has sponsored “The Match” since its inception in 2018. The first matchup featured PGA Tour stars Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods. Mickelson won the inaugural evernt and recevied a $9 million prize.
The second edition turned into a charitable venture and featured pairings of Woods with NFL legend Peyton Manning and Mickelson with Brady. Wood and Manning won the second version of “The Match.”
In 2020, the event’s third edition featured Mickelson and NBA great Charles Barkley. The duo faced Manning and NBA star Stephen Curry. Mickelson and Barkley beat Manning and Curry.
The fourth edition once again featured Mickelson and Brady. This time the pairing squared off with Rodgers and PGA Tour standout Bryson DeChambeau.

During the round, TNT’s Brian Anderson asked Rodgers, who is in the middle of an offseason featuring a dispute with the Packers, if he would be Green Bay’s starting quarterback to open the season this fall.
“I don’t know,” Rodgers responded.

The 2021 event raised a $2.6 million donation to My Brother’s Keeper and will help provide 6,300,000 meals for Feeding America.
Brady and the Buccaneers will kick-off the 2021 regular season against the Dallas Cowboys on September 9.
Rodgers and the Packers are slated to begin their schedule against the New Orleans Saints on September 12.
