Madison Square Garden Applauds Jets QB Zach Wilson During Knicks/Hawks Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU and current New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson received a round of applause and cheers from the crowd at Madison Square Garden during Game 5 of the first round playoff series between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks.
Wilson attended the postseason NBA game on Wednesday, June 2.
The Hawks eliminated the Knicks from the NBA Playoffs with a 103-89 win.
During the Hawks/Knicks contest, Wilson was shown to the crowd on the Jumbotron inside the arena.
The rookie quarterback was given a loud ovation.

The basketball game wasn’t Wilson’s first sporting event in New York.
In May, the former BYU QB attended an NHL postseason game featuring the New York Islanders.

Wilson went to the hockey game with his father, former BYU and current Jets offensive lineman Tristen Hoge, and a handful of other Jets players.

Wilson is currently participating in New York’s offseason program.
The rookie and the Jets will open their 2020 season against the Carolina Panthers on September 12.
