SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – USC WR Munir McClain announced on Wednesday evening that he will transfer to the University of Utah football program.
It’s the second wide receiver that the Utes have picked up over the last two weeks as Munir McClain will go from being a USC Trojan to a Utah Ute. McClain joins Theo Howard, who joined the team after one season at Oklahoma.
McClain made his announcement by changing his profile picture on Twitter, which has him in a Utah football uniform.

After two seasons at USC, McClain played in just two games and that was in 2019 when he caught three passes for 19 yards. Coming out of high school from J Serra Catholic in San Juan Capistrano, California, McClain was a three-star prospect. He received offers from USC, Arizona State, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Nebraska, Oregon State, San Diego State and South Carolina.
This provides depth to Utah’s wide receiver room that is much needed. Joining Theo Howard, Britain Covey, Solomon Enis, Devaughn Vele and Money Parks.
