SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Pac-12 announced dates and opponents for the early conference basketball schedule in December, including two games for Utah.
Utah will travel to USC on Wednesday, December 1 in their Pac-12 opener and will host California on Sunday, December 5.
That will mark the beginning of the Craig Smith era facing Pac-12 opponents. The Pac-12 also released the new 10-year rotation, which will begin with the upcoming 2021-22 and will go through the 2030-31 season. It’s a new rotation that will have a pair of five-year segments from 2021-22 to 2025-26 and 2026-27 to 2030-31, with venues flipping for the early conference games and single-play opponents.

The way the Pac-12 basketball schedule works is every team will play each other twice except for two schools, which will rotate between home and away. Utah will play one opponent within the conference in one game at home and another team for a one-game trip on the road.
For the upcoming 2021-22 season, Utah will play a home-and-home series with Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Washington and Washington State. The early home game (first part of December) will be against California. Their early road game will be at USC. Utah will only face UCLA once and it will be at home and they will play Stanford once, which will be on the road.
