Jazz Forward Georges Niang Beats Buzzer With Three-Pointer Against Rockets

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz forward Georges Niang buried a three-pointer to beat the buzzer at the end of the opening quarter of Utah’s game against the Houston Rockets.
The Rockets hosted the Jazz at Toyota Center on Wednesday, April 21.
With 4.3 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Niang stole the ball on a bad pass by Houston’s Kelly Olynyk. Niang took the ball to the other end of court before rising up for a triple.
Niang’s shot sailed through the air and into the cylinder as time expired.

The forward’s bucket gave the Jazz a 34-27 lead at the end of the first quarter.
At the end of the quarter, Niang had five points on 2-3 field goals. He added two rebounds, one assist, and one steal in five minutes on the court.

This season, Niang is averaging 5.8 points per game.
Utah shot 56.5 percent overall and 41.7 percent from downtown during the opening 12 minutes.
