Jazz Center Rudy Gobert’s Massive Block Leads To Joe Ingles Three-Pointer

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert blocked Indiana Pacers all-star Domantas Sabonis, which led to a three-pointer by Joe Ingles.
Gobert, Ingles and the Jazz hosted the Pacers in a matinee matchup on Friday afternoon. With 2:49 left in the third quarter, Sabonis attempted a layup when Gobert blocked the shot away. Jordan Clarkson collected the rebound and started the fastbreak for the Jazz. Clarkson passed the ball to Ingles, who nailed a three-pointer to put them within five points, 86-81 with 2:43 left in the third quarter.
The Jazz outscored the Pacers 33-20 in the third quarter and the game was tied going into the fourth quarter.

Early in the third quarter, Donovan Mitchell suffered an ankle injury as he was chasing a loose ball, falling over a Pacers player. Mitchell had to be helped off the floor by the trainer and a teammate. He finished with 22 points in 21 minutes, and was ruled out for the rest of the game with an ankle sprain.
Jordan Clarkson, Mike Conley and company stepped up in the absence of Mitchell.
The Jazz wrapped up a five-game homestand and will hit the road for three straight beginning with back-to-back games against the Los Angeles Lakers. The first game of the set will be on Saturday, April 17 at 2:30 p.m. MDT on ESPN.
